Vocations and Prayer Invitation

Called to be Servants and Prophets

25th Anniversary of Vocations and Prayer Magazine

The Rogationist Fathers marked the 25th Anniversary of Vocations and Prayer magazine with a cultural event on June 6, 2015 at Alemany High School in the San Fernando Valley. A quarterly publication dedicated to vocations ministry, Vocations and Prayer celebrates its Silver Jubilee in the same year dedicated to the consecrated life. The fundamental mission of Vocations and Prayer is to spread the primacy of prayer in fostering vocations and promoting with passion and tenacity vocations to the priesthood and the consecrated life.

For twenty-five years of uninterrupted service to the pastoral care of vocations and in fidelity to the spirit of their Founder, Saint Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851-1927), Vocations and Prayer has been the expression of the Rogationist Fathers’ commitment to serve the Church of North America in the field of vocations.

Father Hannibal perceived by a prophetic intuition the importance of prayer for vocations, as commanded by Jesus, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest” (Mt 9:35-38; Lk 10:2). The Rogationist Fathers have been faithful witnesses to the joy of the Gospel and have worked with enthusiasm in promoting vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.
